What motivates you?
Part of being a personal trainer is motivating clients. I think this is the hardest part of training someone. No one can make you do something you don't want to do. There are two different types of motivation: Intrinsic and extrinsic. Extrinsic are externally motivating, things like competing in a sport for a trophy, or working out to look a certain way. There is nothing wrong with these type of motivations as long as they are kept in check. Sometimes they are a good way to get started on a good habit. The problem is maintaining this motivation for the long term. Intrinsic are internally motivating, such as doing things for the pure enjoyment of the thing you do.
